I attended the groundbreaking ceremony for a new University of Florida (UF) pharmacy and research facility next to the Sanford-Burnham Institute in Medical Center in Orlando. Sanford-Burnham opened a leading edge pharmaceutical research facility last year in Orlando and now UF is partnering with them. The University of Central Florida has its new College of Medicine at this same venue, and both a VA hospital and a Nemour’s Childrens Hospital are under construction there.
