Tallahassee, FL – Today, one of Florida’s top pro-life and pro-family leaders John Stemberger, announced his endorsement of Attorney General Bill McCollum for Florida Governor and released the following statement:

“I have spent hours in conversation with both of the leading Republican candidates for Governor. They are both fine men with impressive backgrounds.

“However, Bill McCollum’s long standing commitment to Florida and its families is unparalleled and compelling. From observing his personal and public life for more than two decades, it is clear that Bill deeply loves his wife, his family and his country and has forgone what could have been an extremely lucrative career as a corporate attorney to serve the public. His strong principled leadership is a great resource to this state when our entire country is suffering at the hands of a President Obama’s incompetent leadership and the status quo in Washington.

“Operating the executive office of the fourth largest state in the country requires a level of experience and a command of public policy that only Bill McCollum brings to the table. As Attorney General, Bill surrounded himself with the best and brightest conservative advisors, which is a good indication of how he will govern.
