Press Release: Top 10 Reasons Rick Scott Is Ducking Debates With Bill McCollum

Tallahassee, FL – Today, McCollum Campaign for Governor Communications Director Kristy Campbell issued the following statement regarding the Rick Scott Campaigns false claims on the state of primary debate scheduling:

“Let’s get real, Rick Scott. We have seen your campaign’s press releases, but to date, you have refused to respond directly to our repeated attempts to contact your campaign. We’ve called, sent letters, emailed and even faxed. Bill McCollum is ready and prepared to debate Rick Scott and share his vision for the future of Florida voters. Now.”

“While Rick Scott’s clear resistance to debating Bill McCollum anytime in the near future is unfortunate, we don’t blame him. There is certainly no shortage of reasons for his concerns.”

Top 10 Reasons Rick Scott Won’t Debate Bill McCollum:

9. Rick Scott has yet to find someone to blame for all of the hypocritical positions he holds.

8. Rick Scott needs to come about with a better way to talk about the Obama stimulus in light of revelations he earned $4 million from it.

7. Rick Scott has not released a plan to diversify Florida’s economy, create jobs and lure more businesses to the state. It’s hard to talk about improving Florida’s economy without a plan to actually do it.

6. Rick Scott still can’t answer questions about his role as the disgraced former Columbia/HCA CEO responsible for overseeing the largest Medicare fraud scheme in American history.

5. Rick Scott needs more time to disassociate himself from companies he owns, like Emida Technologies, the money-wiring company helping illegal immigrants send American money out of the country.

4. Rick Scott’s public image repair team can’t seem to change the subject from the millions his company embezzled from taxpayers.
